How a victorian sailor’s story inspired our mission
Shipwrecked
Richard Behenna, was a sailor in the merchant navy. In 1856 he was returning to England from Peru when his ship, having successfully navigated the notorious Cape Horn, encountered a storm in the North Atlantic. The vessel started taking on water, within 24 hours the Captain gave the order to abandon ship.
Mercifully a brig bringing sugar from the West Indies was passing and came to their rescue. All thirty crew members were saved, but only for Richard’s quick thinking; pouring oil onto the stormy waters calmed them enough to make safe passage between the two ships possible.

Construction projects are rarely plain sailing, having a clear strategy is essential, taking stock of the situation, assessing the inherent risks and adapting to events are all skills that a project team should possess. That’s why we’ve made it our mission to be the partner of choice for world class projects.
